Sandstone log retaining walls use solid sandstone blocks to create a substantial retaining structure with a natural stone appearance. The logs are arranged in courses to retain changes in ground level, with the wall configuration, foundation and construction details determined by the project requirements and engineering design. The natural variation in sandstone colour and texture creates a distinctive finish suited to projects where durability and visual character are important considerations.
Standard log dimensions: Logs are most commonly 2,000 mm long × 500 mm deep × 500 mm high, with an approximate weight of 1.2 tonnes per log.
